Ogunsanya & Ogunsanya was established in 1956 when the founding Partners, Adeniran and Adebayo Ogunsanya set out to create a law firm that held distinction and tradition as its core values.

Chief Adeniran Ogunsanya, QC, SAN, was born on the 31st of January, 1918. He studied Law at the University of Manchester and Gray’s Inn School of Law. Upon his return from the UK, he began his legal career at the chambers of Chief T.O.S. Benson. He established the firm with his brother and was elevated to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in the year 1990. In line with a sense of public service and duty, he served as the Lagos State Commissioner for Justice and Education during the Second Republic.

Chief Adebayo Ogunsanya SAN, was born on the 5th of January, 1922. He first obtained a Diploma in International Law from The Victoria University of Manchester in 1951. He graduated with a Law degree from the University of London in 1955 before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1956. Post call, he established the firm with his brother Chief Adeniran Ogunsanya and practised the law until he passed away on the 7th of May, 1993. He was elevated to the prestigious rank of SAN in the year 1980 and served as President of the Nigerian Bar Association from 1973- 1974.
